What is your design and production process?
Every bag we produce is thoughtfully designed by our co-founders Maria and Sarah, and we go through several rounds of refinements until we believe we have just the right finished style. We get many ideas from our customers and scour the market for inspiration when it comes to innovative, chic designs and materials. Our production team works with a multitude of suppliers to ensure our quality and eco standards are met, and we produce in small batches so that each bag gets the special attention it deserves. What Materials Are Our High-Quality Bags Made of?
Biodegradable TPU Plastic
Clear luxury bags make up Truffle’s core product lineup and we wouldn’t be able to make those best sellers without the essential TPU plastic. This material is what sets Truffle apart from all of the dupes in the market. Our TPU plastic is biodegradable, phthalate-free, lead-free, FDA-certified, and high-quality. It’s rare to find high-quality materials that are also eco-conscious and we’re very proud that our clear luxury bags meet both distinctions.
Recycled Leather
Another core component of our high-quality bags is the recycled leather found on our signature clear cases and clear clutches. Recycled leather is genuine leather scraps that were destined for landfills that get repurposed and transformed into the leather you see on the Truffle luxury bags.
Recycled leather is made of scraps, tiny trimmings, and shavings of 100% genuine leather and shredded into fibers. Those fibers are then fused into a micro-textile core where the color and texture are added. This process allows us to utilize the benefits of genuine leather without compromising on our eco-friendly and sustainable core tenets. Recycled Nylon
Our rPET nylon makes up our Privacy Stowaway Case, Multi-Tasking Pouch Set & Clarity Packing Cube Trio and is used for trim on some of our best-sellers. rPET nylon is 100% recycled post-consumer plastic and is an extremely durable and high-quality material. It’s a flexible material that is a great option for squeezing into a suitcase, like with our toiletry bags and packing cubes.
